Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Night Shift Registered Nurse (RN) for our Med-Surg department. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care during the night shifts, ensuring comfort and safety while managing a variety of medical and surgical patients. This position demands proficient clinical skills and strong communication abilities to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patients’ conditions and report any changes to the medical team.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
- Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist in coordinating the care planning process.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- Previous experience in a medical-surgical unit is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities are essential.
