Job Summary
The Night Shift RN in the Medical Surgical department is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients during the night shift. The role involves collaborating with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes and delivering compassionate care to those in need.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses, ensuring safety and effectiveness.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify health issues and track progress.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and medical conditions.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding treatment plans and updates.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on health management.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Previous experience in a Medical Surgical setting is preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Willingness to work night shifts and adhere to flexible scheduling.
