Injection Mold Technician
Ashland, OH
1st shift: 6:45am – 2:45pm
2nd shift: 2:45pm – 10:45pm

We are looking for a skilled Injection Mold Technician to become a vital part of our team. This position involves setting up, operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting plastic injection molding machines, with the aim of producing top-quality plastic parts. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of the materials, tools, and machinery integral to the injection molding process.

Key Responsibilities:
• Install molds, configure machine settings (temperature, pressure, cycle time), and ensure the correct operation of auxiliary equipment.
• Continuously monitor the operation of machines, assess product quality, and implement adjustments to ensure steady production.
• Detect and rectify any processing problems, including defects, inconsistencies, and machine failures.
• Conduct inspections on finished components for defects, verify dimensions, and confirm compliance with quality specifications.
• Carry out routine maintenance on machines and supplemental equipment, and communicate any significant repair needs.
• Keep detailed records of process parameters, production statistics, and maintenance efforts.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a tidy, organized workspace.

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or an associate degree in a relevant domain are advantageous.
• Demonstrated experience as an Injection Molding Process Technician or in a similar capacity.
• Solid grasp of injection molding processes, materials (thermoplastics), and tooling.
• Skilled in setting up and managing injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
• Proficient in troubleshooting processing challenges and implementing necessary adjustments.
• Familiarity with quality control practices and inspection methods.
• Mechanical inclination with the ability to perform basic maintenance tasks.
• Strong attention to detail, with the capability to work independently or collaboratively.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of Scientific molding principles and techniques is preferred.
• Experience with automation and robotics in injection molding is a plus.
• Familiarity with Single-stage and Two-stage blow molding is considered an asset.
