The selected candidate will be tasked with the design, creation, modification, and upkeep of scientific instruments and research equipment while working closely with researchers. Additionally, they will provide training to staff and ensure that all apparatus adhere to safety and operational standards. Applicants should possess a minimum of eight years of relevant experience in the design and fabrication of precision instruments, along with a high school diploma or its equivalent. Strong skills in SolidWorks, Mastercam, and significant experience in a machine shop are highly desirable.
