Job description
Job Summary
The Interim Sterile Processing Manager holds a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing the operations of the sterile processing department. This position demands effective management and strategic oversight to ensure the highest standards of sterilization and infection control in medical instruments and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Direct and supervise daily departmental procedures and workflows to maintain efficient operations.
- Implement and uphold protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
- Train and mentor staff on proper sterilization techniques and safety procedures.
- Evaluate departmental performance and seek continuous improvement through innovative solutions.
- Collaborate with other departments to fulfill sterilization needs and enhance service delivery.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sterile processing or a similar role, with demonstrable leadership capabilities.
- Strong knowledge of current regulations and standards pertaining to sterilization and infection control.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams.
- Certification in sterile processing management is a plus.
- Ability to analyze operational processes and implement improvements.
