Job Summary

The Intern for Transportation/Public Works will gain hands-on experience in public works and transportation projects while assisting in various daily operations. This position is designed to support the department’s initiatives, contributing to the improvement of community infrastructure and services.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning and implementing transportation projects.
  • Conduct research and analysis related to public works initiatives.
  • Support staff in data collection and report generation.
  • Participate in fieldwork and inspections as needed.
  • Engage with community members and stakeholders to gather feedback.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program related to civil engineering, urban planning, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software tools.
