Job description
Job Summary
The role of the Interventional Radiology Nurse (RN) is crucial in providing specialized nursing care for patients undergoing interventional procedures. This position requires the nurse to work closely with the interventional radiology team to ensure exceptional patient outcomes and safety throughout the procedure.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and recovery of patients prior to and following interventional radiology procedures.
- Monitor patient vital signs and manage sedation levels during procedures.
- Document patient information and progress accurately in the medical records.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding the procedures and recovery process.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
Qualifications
- Current registered nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Experience in interventional radiology, critical care, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
