Job Summary
The IT Security Analyst plays a crucial role in safeguarding the organization’s information systems. This role encompasses the identification, containment, and prevention of security breaches while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. The analyst will evaluate security measures, conduct risk assessments, and respond to incidents to protect the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive data.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities in systems.
- Develop and implement security protocols and best practices to enhance data protection.
- Monitor and analyze security events for potential threats and breaches.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure a cohesive approach to security strategy.
- Provide training and awareness initiatives to staff on security policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in IT security or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of security frameworks and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ are preferred.
