Job Summary
This position entails executing both basic and complex venipuncture procedures along with the collection of specimens from patients of various age groups. The employee will also handle the processing of biological samples, oversee laboratory orders through computer systems, and ensure the proper maintenance of laboratory equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and advanced venipuncture and specimen collection on patients of all ages.
- Process biological samples efficiently.
- Manage and track laboratory orders using computerized systems.
- Maintain and service laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or an equivalent qualification.
- Completion of a phlebotomy training program or a minimum of 6 months of recent phlebotomy experience.
- Proficient in the use of computer systems related to laboratory management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for interacting with patients and staff.
