Lab Technician
Location: Ankeny, IA
Compensation: $20-23/hr
Shift: 2nd Shift, 3-Month Contract
As a **Lab Technician**, you will play a vital role in providing support by preparing buffers and reagents, assisting with seed health assessments, and conducting greenhouse activities.
Key Responsibilities of the Lab Technician:
- Create and manage physical sample movements.
- Perform specified physical analyses of seed quality.
- Prepare necessary buffers and reagents, and tend to indicator plants.
- Conduct grow-out assays and handle equipment inspection, operation, and maintenance.
- Assist in conducting seed health tests.
- Adhere to ISO Quality Management Standards, ensuring the proper use of PPE and maintaining safety protocols while in the lab.
Qualifications for the Lab Technician:
- Strong communication abilities and capacity to thrive in a dynamic, multicultural environment.
- A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required; related experience and/or training is preferred.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience is necessary.
