Job description
Job Summary
The Lab Technician is responsible for conducting a variety of laboratory tests and analyses in order to support scientific research and development. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment. The Lab Technician plays a vital role in ensuring that all procedures adhere to safety and quality standards while assisting scientists and researchers in their innovative projects.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and specialized tests on samples, following established protocols and procedures.
- Document accurate results and maintain detailed lab records for quality assurance purposes.
- Ensure laboratory equipment is calibrated and maintained to perform tests reliably.
- Assist in the preparation of samples and reagents for experiments.
- Collaborate with research teams to support ongoing laboratory projects and experiments.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and regulatory standards during all laboratory operations.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Laboratory Technology or a related field; Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Previous experience working in a laboratory setting is an advantage.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and protocols.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and communicate clearly.
- Proficiency in laboratory safety procedures and compliance regulations.
