Job Summary
The Lab Technician (Material Handler) is tasked with supporting laboratory operations by managing and handling various materials used in experiments and testing. This role emphasizes the importance of proper material handling to ensure efficiency and safety within the lab environment.
Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain inventory of laboratory materials and supplies.
- Assist in the preparation of materials for experiments.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols while handling chemicals and other substances.
- Support laboratory staff by providing materials as needed during testing phases.
- Document and report any discrepancies in materials received or used.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to uphold laboratory standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical training is a plus.
- Experience in a laboratory setting preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle materials safely and knowledge of safety regulations.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
