Job Summary
Virtua is looking for a dedicated Surgical Technologist to join our Labor & Delivery Operating Room team in New Jersey. The role requires expertise in managing surgical instruments and ensuring a sterile environment, thus supporting nursing and surgical teams effectively.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the proper handling and maintenance of surgical instruments.
- Maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures.
- Assist nursing staff by transporting patients prior to surgeries.
- Prepare and organize surgical equipment and supplies required for operations.
Qualifications
- A minimum of one year of experience in an Operating Room (OR) setting is required.
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile techniques.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
