Job Summary
The Laboratory Assistant plays a critical role in supporting laboratory operations by performing various tasks that ensure the smooth running of scientific experiments and procedures. This position involves assisting in sample preparation, maintaining laboratory equipment, and adhering to safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and organize samples for analysis and testing.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the laboratory environment.
- Assist in the operation and maintenance of laboratory instruments.
- Document and report experimental data accurately.
- Contribute to the preparation of reagents and solutions as needed.
- Follow safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in a relevant scientific field or equivalent experience preferred.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and protocols accurately.
- Basic knowledge of laboratory techniques and equipment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new laboratory procedures.
