Job Summary
The Laboratory Assistant plays a crucial role in the handling of venipuncture and specimen collection activities, as well as managing order entry and administrative tasks within the lab environment. This position emphasizes the importance of accurate specimen processing and inventory management, while also delivering high-quality customer service in the laboratory department.
Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and collect specimens efficiently and accurately.
- Manage order entry and clerical procedures related to laboratory workflows.
- Process specimens in accordance with laboratory protocols.
- Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and materials.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff within the laboratory setting.
Qualifications
- Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Capable of executing various specimen collection techniques.
- Knowledge of and adherence to strict laboratory safety and identification procedures.
