Job Summary
The Laboratory Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the laboratory, ensuring that all activities meet safety and quality standards while complying with relevant regulations. This role involves managing staff, coordinating projects, and optimizing laboratory efficiency to support research and development initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Supervise laboratory personnel, managing schedules and performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards within the laboratory environment.
- Coordinate research projects and manage resources to achieve project goals effectively.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and oversee procurement of supplies as necessary.
- Facilitate communication between departments to support project collaboration.
- Implement and monitor laboratory protocols and methodologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a laboratory setting.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory safety practices and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
