Overview:
We are looking for a Registered Landscape Architect with at least 6 years of professional experience (10+ years preferred) to spearhead design initiatives from initial concept to final construction. The perfect candidate will possess outstanding project management abilities, a thorough understanding of municipal approval processes, and the capability to collaborate effectively with clients, internal teams, and external architecture/engineering partners. A portfolio showcasing completed projects that exemplify design excellence, technical precision, and innovative planting design is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee landscape design projects from the initial concept phase through to construction documentation and administration.
• Manage municipal submissions, review cycles, and the approval process.
• Collaborate with internal team members and external architecture/engineering professionals.
• Engage directly with clients to establish project vision, facilitate meetings, and support decision-making processes.
• Oversee project timelines, budgets, deliverables, and team workflows.
• Design intricate hardscape elements (including paving, green roofs, water features, etc.).
• Develop comprehensive site furnishing packages (such as benches, bollards, bike racks, lighting, and litter receptacles).
• Create planting designs that enhance contemporary architectural settings.
• Prepare and present samples and documentation of completed projects.

Qualifications:

• Registered Landscape Architect is mandatory.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience, with 10+ years preferred (flexibility is available).
• Proven experience in project management and team collaboration.
• Experience leading design across all project phases.
• Strong skills in reading, interpreting, and producing technical design documents.
• Experience in interacting with municipalities and managing approval procedures.
• A portfolio that demonstrates high-quality built work.
• Excellent communication and ability to engage with clients effectively.
