Job Summary
The Laundry Worker plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene within a long-term care facility. This position involves handling, processing, and managing laundry, including linens and personal garments for residents, ensuring that all items are maintained to the highest standard of cleanliness.
Responsibilities
- Collect, wash, dry, and fold linens and personal clothing.
- Distribute processed laundry to the appropriate areas within the facility.
- Safely operate and maintain laundry equipment in compliance with established safety guidelines.
- Adhere to all infection control protocols and universal precautions to ensure a safe environment.
Qualifications
- Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Able to lift and carry weights of up to 50 pounds.
- Capable of standing or walking for prolonged periods during shifts.
- Must be able to follow oral and written instructions effectively.
