Job Summary
The Laundry Worker plays a crucial role in managing the laundering processes for linens and personal garments at a long-term care facility. This position entails the efficient collection, washing, drying, folding, and distribution of laundry items while ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Collect and manage linens and personal clothing from residents.
- Operate laundry machinery in a safe manner.
- Wash, dry, and fold items according to established procedures.
- Distribute cleaned laundry back to the appropriate locations.
- Maintain accurate records of laundry activities.
- Adhere to strict infection control and sanitation protocols.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a laundry environment is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Physical capability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to follow both oral and written instructions efficiently.
