Lead IT Applications Specialist
9 Month Contract (Potential to extend)
Remote (Based on EST Hours)
$57-62/hr W2 This IT Application Specialist Lead contractor will work with several Business PMOs, the vendor and project team members to build and configure Planview Portfolios, a Strategic Project and Portfolio Management Solution. In this role, you’ll design the application for PMO requirements, along with retiring current solutions. You’ll recommend global standards and configurations for scalability and ease of ongoing maintenance. This contractor will collaborate with the Enterprise Project Management Office on processes, standards, global configurations will be essential.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Work with IT Subject Matter Experts and Business PMOs to gather business needs / requirements for Portfolios Implementation
- Gathering of current systems and data information – including current process, documentation of current intake systems / fields Document technical specs to maintain Portfolios
- Work with IT Subject Matter Experts and Business PMOs to gather business needs / requirements for Portfolios Implementation

- Leads meetings to define and document requirements, and evaluates comprehensiveness, testability and usability of the requirements within the application.
- Engages with vendors to make necessary changes to applications.
- Provides analysis to ensure application requirements are met.
- Creates, updates, and maintains related application documentation
- Resolves moderate to complex application design and usability issues.
Required Skills:
- Experience using and configuring Planview Portfolios
- Analysis and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data from various sources to determine next steps.
- Organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects and/or assignment simultaneously
- Excellent listening, verbal and written communications skills with the ability to translate technical information into understandable terms to a variety of audiences.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience designing, configuring and supporting Software As a Service (SAAS) applications
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
– Associate's Degree or higher in an IT or Business related discipline (such as MIS, Business Management) and a minimum of six years of related work experience in technical tool administration that involves creating, testing, configuring, updating, manipulating, and/or scripting technical tools or applications.
– In lieu of the above combination of education and experience, a minimum of eight years of related work experience in technical tool administration experience creating, testing, configuring, updating, manipulating, and/or scripting technical tools or applications.
