Job Summary
The Lead Laboratory Technician plays a crucial role in supervising shift operations, which encompasses managing laboratory personnel, optimizing workflow, and achieving production targets. This position also entails conducting routine laboratory analyses, ensuring optimal equipment functionality, and upholding safety compliance throughout the lab environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the performance of laboratory staff during shifts.
- Manage workflow and set production goals to be met by the team.
- Conduct routine analyses in the laboratory setting.
- Maintain and ensure proper functioning of laboratory equipment.
- Monitor and enforce adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A minimum of one year of supervisory experience in a laboratory setting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as necessary.
- Capability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
- Possession of various safety certifications including HAZMAT and OSHA.
