Job Summary
The Lens Finishing Technician plays a crucial role in the optical industry by performing essential tasks involved in the finishing of ophthalmic lenses. This position is dedicated to ensuring that lenses are inspected, blocked, and edged in accordance with established quality standards and specific prescription requirements. Additionally, the technician is accountable for the cleaning and mounting of lenses into frames while upholding safety and production guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Inspect ophthalmic lenses to ensure they meet quality and prescription standards.
- Perform blocking and edging of lenses accurately.
- Clean lenses and mount them properly into optical frames.
- Adhere to safety protocols and production standards throughout the process.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or an equivalent educational qualification is required.
- Previous experience in optical or lens manufacturing is preferred.
- On-the-job training will be provided to qualified candidates.
