Job Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians. This position requires a compassionate individual who is capable of handling a diverse array of patient needs across various healthcare settings. The LPN is responsible for providing basic nursing care and supporting the overall patient care process.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs and report any significant changes.
- Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to plan and implement patient care activities.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health conditions and care plans.
Qualifications
- Current and valid LPN license in the state of practice.
- Completion of a practical nursing program from an accredited institution.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic computer skills for patient record management.
