Job Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in providing quality care to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician. The LPN is responsible for assisting in the delivery of healthcare services, ensuring patient comfort, and supporting the overall operations of the healthcare facility.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff.
- Assist with daily living activities and personal care for patients.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Qualifications
- Current and valid LPN license in the state of practice.
- Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification, preferred.
