Job Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a critical role in delivering nursing care to patients under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians. The LPN assists in monitoring patients’ health status, providing basic medical care, and maintaining patient records, ensuring high-quality healthcare is delivered consistently.
Responsibilities
- Administer basic nursing care as directed by RNs or physicians.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs and symptoms.
- Assist with daily living activities, including bathing, feeding, and dressing patients.
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Maintain and update patient records accurately and promptly.
Qualifications
- Current and valid LPN license.
- Completion of an accredited practical nursing program.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare team setting.
