Job Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians. This role involves providing basic medical assistance, monitoring patient health, and ensuring that patients receive the necessary care in a compassionate and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Monitor and record patients’ vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and respiration.
- Assist in personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming of patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding care plans and health progress.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in patient care areas to ensure a safe environment.
Qualifications
- Current state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Completion of a practical nursing program from an accredited institution.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
