Job Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in delivering quality care to patients under the supervision of registered nurses and medical practitioners. This position requires effective communication skills, compassion, and the ability to work well within a healthcare team.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and report any changes to the attending nurse or physician.
- Assist with daily living activities of patients such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Participate in patient assessments and care planning.
Qualifications
- Current LPN licensure in the state of practice.
- Completion of an accredited practical nursing program.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification is preferred.
