Job Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will support registered nurses by gathering patient information, administering prescribed medications, and overseeing patients’ health statuses. This role is essential in ensuring that high-quality nursing care is delivered while adhering to professional standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist registered nurses with the collection of patient data.
- Administer medications according to established protocols.
- Monitor and report on patient conditions effectively.
- Maintain precise and comprehensive nursing documentation.
- Ensure adherence to infection control practices.
- Provide empathetic care to patients within the limits of practice.
Qualifications
- Possession of a current and valid New York State LPN license.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Successful completion of an accredited LPN training program.
- Experience in psychiatric care is preferred.
