Job description
Job Summary
The Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining machinery in a manufacturing environment. The individual in this role ensures that equipment functions effectively and efficiently to meet production targets while adhering to safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Set up machines ready for operation based on specified job requirements.
- Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain optimal production levels.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area to ensure a safe environment.
- Document production data and report discrepancies or issues to supervisors.
- Assist in training new operators on machinery and safety practices.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous experience in machine operation or manufacturing is preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow detailed instructions.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with production software are a plus.
