Competitive Pay Manufacturing Engineer Summary
This role partners with Operations to improve productivity and efficiency across Assembly and Machining departments while supporting new product launches and continuous improvement initiatives. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the position focuses on driving safety, quality, cost reduction, and operational excellence through lean manufacturing, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration. Manufacturing Engineer Key Responsibilities
- Drive safety, quality, cost reduction, continuous improvement, and new product development initiatives.
- Identify, prioritize, and implement opportunities to improve manufacturing productivity across the facility.
- Own the site cost-out improvement process, including tracking and reporting results.
- Support and lead manufacturing readiness for new product launches and process changes.
- Investigate and resolve manufacturing issues; conduct process and methods studies to optimize performance.
- Support assembly, machining, sheet metal, fabrication, and electrical product assembly processes.
- Partner with design engineering to ensure new product designs support manufacturing efficiency and cost effectiveness.
- Recommend and support new equipment, manufacturing technologies, facility layout changes, and material flow improvements; prepare capital appropriations.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles including Kaizen, 5S, and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Partner with EHS to ensure compliance with machine guarding and electrical safety standards and champion assigned MESH initiatives.
- Lead Management of Change (MOC) activities for product and process launches.
Manufacturing Engineer Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience supporting operations or production.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma.
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Hands-on experience in Assembly, Machining (CNC and manual), Sheet Metal, Fabrication, and/or Maintenance environments.
