Manufacturing Engineer
San Antonio, TX
$31-40/hour The Manufacturing Engineer will support Engineering projects in a manufacturing environment. They will collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to set up manufacturing processes, layouts, and manage purchase orders for new tooling and equipment. They also verify design accuracy and compliance with industry standards, prepare project plans, coordinate reviews with multiple departments, maintain detailed records, and deliver executive-level reports. Manufacturing Engineer Responsibilities:
- Support the introduction of new products and processes by analyzing impacts, verifying functionality, and ensuring manufacturing readiness.
- Lead implementation of manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment in compliance with industry standards and product requirements.
- Coordinate cross-functional and supplier activities to meet project deadlines and quality.
- Communicate project status and escalations updates to management throughout reviews.
- Prepare and maintain manufacturing documentation, reports, and layout updates.
- Conduct and support training for new processes, equipment, and tools.
Manufacturing Engineer Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, CAD (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or ProE), and engineering software (Minitab, MATLAB, etc.).
- Experience with Team Center, NX, ERP systems, and simulation software.
- Working knowledge of advanced quality control tools, data analysis, and problem-solving techniques (e.g., PFMEA, Pareto analysis, SPC).
- Strong leadership and project management skills (timelines, resources, budgets).
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and adapt to changing work environments.
- Experience with equipment installations, tooling setup, systems integration, and automation processes.
- Previous Experience in Automotive/Truck manufacturing.
