Job description
Job Summary
The Material Handler is responsible for efficiently managing the storage and inventory of materials within the organization. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring smooth operations by handling incoming and outgoing materials and maintaining accurate inventory levels.
Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect materials upon delivery to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Organize and store materials in designated areas according to inventory management systems.
- Prepare materials for shipment, ensuring proper packaging and documentation.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to monitor stock levels and identify discrepancies.
- Collaborate with other departments to facilitate material needs and resolve potential issues.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with safety regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in materials handling or warehouse operations is advantageous.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills and teamwork abilities.
