Job Summary
The Material Planner will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing material inventory levels, ensuring timely availability for production needs while minimizing excess stock. This position requires a strategic approach to planning that balances supply and demand effectively.
Responsibilities
- Analyze inventory levels and forecast future material requirements to support production schedules.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Monitor and manage inventory turnover rates, seeking opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and implement material planning strategies that align with company objectives.
- Utilize ERP systems to track and manage material flow throughout the supply chain.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in material planning or inventory management, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Proficiency with ERP software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to work effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
