Materials Planner
Location: Euclid, OH | Onsite
Contract Duration: 8 Months
Hourly Rate: $24 – $27
Overview of the Materials Planner Role:
The Materials Planner is tasked with delivering tactical planning and execution support to guarantee the smooth progression of materials, the accuracy of inventory records, and the seamless continuation of daily business operations. This position emphasizes transactional execution, data management, and fundamental analysis to maintain production and supply chain efficiency.
Key Responsibilities of the Materials Planner:
• Handle daily work order and inventory transactions, which include stocking, material releases, and conducting cycle counts, while ensuring system accuracy and alignment with physical inventory levels.
• Regularly update and sustain standard reports to facilitate routine operational meetings and support well-informed decision-making.
• Assess and supervise quality-related concerns, such as non-conforming materials and rework orders, ensuring they receive proper visibility and necessary updates in the system.
• Carry out basic purchase order (PO) transactions as required to facilitate the availability and movement of materials.
• Ensure material flow is executed effectively by completing transactions accurately and promptly, thereby minimizing potential disruptions to production schedules.
• Uphold data integrity within ERP/MRP systems through timely and accurate updates concerning inventory, work orders, and associated records.
Basic Qualifications for the Materials Planner:
• An Associate’s Degree in a Business-related field or at least two years of experience in material planning within a manufacturing setting.
• This role necessitates exposure to information or hardware governed by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be deemed U.S. persons as per ITAR, defined as U.S. Citizens, U.S. Permanent Residents (i.e., ‘Green Card Holders’), Political Asylees, or Refugees.
• Candidates will not be offered relocation assistance; only individuals residing within a 50-mile radius of the Euclid, OH facility will be eligible for consideration.
Preferred Qualifications for the Materials Planner:
• A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
• Familiarity with materials planning systems (MRP/ERP) and the logic behind order generation processes.
• Experience in collaboration with cross-functional process improvement teams.
• Background in operating within a well-established Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) environment.
• Strong analytical capabilities, utilizing ERP data to identify trends and anomalies.
• CPIM certification is a plus.
• Prior experience in machining within the aerospace sector is advantageous.
