Job description
Job Summary
The Mechanical Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing all mechanical engineering activities within the company. This role includes leading engineering teams, managing projects, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality mechanical designs while adhering to industry standards and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of mechanical engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
- Plan and manage engineering projects from conception through to completion, ensuring deliverables are met on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical design with electrical, software, and production requirements.
- Review and improve technical designs and processes to enhance product performance and reliability.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations throughout the engineering process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Proven experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 5 years in a management position.
- Strong project management skills and familiarity with engineering software and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a detail-oriented mindset.
- Effective communication and leadership skills, able to engage and motivate a team.
