Job description
Job Summary
The Med Surg/Tele Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a medical-surgical and telemetry environment. This role involves monitoring patients, administering medication, and providing education to patients and their families. The ideal candidate will have exceptional clinical skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic healthcare team.
Responsibilities
- Assessing and monitoring patient health conditions and vital signs.
- Implementing nursing interventions and managing care plans.
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Educating patients and families regarding health management and discharge plans.
- Documenting patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Prior experience in a medical-surgical or telemetry unit is advantageous.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
