Job description
Job Summary
The Med Surg Telemetry position encompasses delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients requiring medical-surgical and telemetry services. This role is critical in maintaining patient safety, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and providing patient education in a well-coordinated environment.
Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patients’ conditions through meticulous observation of telemetry data.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain thorough documentation of patient progress and response to interventions.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions and post-treatment care.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards to uphold high-quality care delivery.
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of practice.
- BSN preferred or equivalent clinical experience.
- Certification in BLS and ACLS is required.
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to make quick decisions.
- Experience in telemetry nursing or similar medical-surgical environments is advantageous.
