Job Summary
The Medical Technologist plays a crucial role in executing laboratory tests that bolster cancer care services provided to physicians and mid-level practitioners. This position requires strict adherence to regulatory standards, ensuring that the laboratory consistently meets the compliance requirements set forth by CLIA, COLA, and CMS.
Responsibilities
- Conduct laboratory testing to support physicians and mid-level practitioners dealing with cancer treatment.
- Ensure laboratory operations are in compliance with applicable regulatory standards including CLIA, COLA, and CMS.
Qualifications
- Possession of a valid New York State License.
- Certification as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician from ASCP.
- At least six months of experience in a clinical hospital or reference laboratory is preferred.
