Job Summary

The Medical Assistant plays a pivotal role in healthcare settings, providing essential support to medical professionals in delivering quality patient care. This position involves a variety of tasks that bridge administrative duties and patient interaction, ensuring smooth operations within the medical facility.

Responsibilities

  • Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
  • Perform routine administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
  • Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and medical history.
  • Administer medications and injections as directed by the physician.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a medical assisting program preferred.
  • Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills and experience with electronic health records.
