Medical Assistant
Location: Hudson, FL
Compensation: $20/hour
The Medical Assistant 2 is responsible for aiding physicians and healthcare teams, acting as a reliable point of contact for patients. This role is well-suited for individuals who excel in a dynamic outpatient setting and enjoy working collaboratively with others.
Key Responsibilities for Medical Assistant 2:
· Welcome and prepare patients for their appointments
· Measure and document vital signs
· Engage with patients to discuss symptoms and collect relevant information
· Input patient data into Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
· Administer injections as allowed by certification
· Conduct diagnostic tests
· Collect samples and specimens for laboratory analysis
· Execute blood draws and engage in phlebotomy tasks
· Clean and sterilize medical instruments
· Organize and maintain examination rooms
· Work closely with physicians and nursing personnel on patient care
Qualifications for Medical Assistant 2:
· 1-3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a back-office or direct patient care environment
· Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred
· Valid Medical Assistant certification or registration (CMA/RMA)
· Current CPR certification required
· Fewer than 2 years of leadership experience in a professional setting
· Experience in a busy, fast-paced healthcare facility
· Competence in Microsoft Outlook
· Basic computer skills necessary
