Job Summary
The Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting both clinical and administrative functions within the healthcare team. This position entails preparing patients for examinations, conducting vital sign assessments, and administering prescribed medications. The Medical Assistant also oversees laboratory sample management, maintains supplies in exam rooms, and guarantees precise documentation of patient medical records.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for medical examinations.
- Conduct vital sign checks.
- Administer medications as directed by medical personnel.
- Handle and manage laboratory samples.
- Ensure that exam rooms are adequately stocked with necessary supplies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Completion of a Medical Assistant training program in accordance with California Medical Board standards.
- Certification in Venipuncture, CPR, and Basic Life Support (BLS) is necessary.
