Job Summary
The Medical Assistant II plays a crucial role in supporting physicians by facilitating direct patient care and managing various clinical tasks. This position is integral in ensuring smooth operations within the medical setting, which includes scheduling diagnostic procedures and securing necessary pre-authorizations. Additionally, the Medical Assistant II will engage in patient interactions and clinical responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians in providing direct patient care.
- Schedule diagnostic tests and obtain pre-authorizations.
- Perform clinical tasks such as applying and removing casts.
- Manage communications with patients effectively.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited medical assistant program.
- Possession of a current phlebotomy license.
- At least one year of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
- BLS certification is required.
