Job Summary
The Medical Assistant plays a vital role in delivering direct patient care, undertaking various clinical responsibilities, as well as supporting front office operations. This position requires engagement in a fast-paced clinical setting, where attention to detail and effective communication are critical.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including conducting blood draws, administering injections, and performing EKGs.
- Monitor and manage patient flow within the clinic.
- Participate in cross-training to assist with front office functions.
- Handle patient check-ins and verify authorizations.
- Facilitate effective communication with patients and healthcare team members.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent.
- Current credentials or certification as a Medical Assistant.
- Preferred proficiency in both English and Spanish.
- Able to adapt to a fast-evolving clinical environment.
