Job Summary
This role involves greeting patients and assessing the purpose of their visits prior to meeting with a healthcare provider such as a physician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant. The position demands meticulous attention to detail in gathering vital signs and accurately documenting patient information while ensuring a neat and orderly environment for both patients and staff.
Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and evaluate the reason for their appointments.
- Record vital signs and maintain comprehensive patient information documentation.
- Ensure a clean and organized workspace conducive to patient comfort and staff efficiency.
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification is mandatory; CNA certification is not an acceptable alternative.
- A high school diploma or equivalent educational background is required.
- Formal training as a Medical Assistant for a minimum of six months is preferred.
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting and bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish are advantageous.
