Job description
**Medical Director**
The Medical Director is responsible for conducting reviews related to medical necessity, managing cases, and resolving claims, while offering clinical expertise to both internal and external parties. The role involves contributing to the formulation of coverage guidelines, engaging in quality enhancement initiatives, and mentoring fellow clinical professionals. Applicants must have an active, unrestricted medical license in a U.S. state or territory and be board certified in a specialty recognized by ABMS or AOA. A minimum of five years of clinical practice experience following residency is essential, along with proficient computer skills.
