Job Summary
The Medical Laboratory Scientist plays a crucial role in the healthcare setting by managing and analyzing specimens, conducting test investigations, and keeping precise patient documentation. This position necessitates adherence to regulatory standards including CLIA, HIPAA, and OSHA to ensure safety and accuracy in laboratory operations while troubleshooting any issues related to testing performance.
Responsibilities
- Handle and process various specimens for testing.
- Execute test analyses and ensure accurate results.
- Maintain detailed and correct patient records.
- Adhere to safety and compliance regulations including CLIA, HIPAA, and OSHA.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve any issues related to testing performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
- Associate’s degree in a relevant area may also be considered.
- Preferred: At least one year of clinical experience in high-complexity testing.
