Job Summary
The Medical Laboratory Technician is tasked with conducting both standard and intricate diagnostic examinations across multiple laboratory areas to guarantee precise results for patient care. This role includes the upkeep of laboratory instruments, recording of findings, and teamwork with healthcare providers to enhance patient treatment.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of routine and advanced diagnostic tests to deliver accurate patient results.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure optimal operational efficiency.
- Document test results meticulously to support effective patient care.
- Collaborate with medical professionals to improve patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- An Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Biology, or a related discipline is required.
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) through ASCP or AMT is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
