Job Summary
The Medication Aide plays a crucial role in the healthcare team by overseeing the administration of prescribed medications and treatments to patients, either directly or by assisting them in self-administration. This position also involves managing the medication supply area to ensure a systematic and efficient operation.
Responsibilities
- Administer or assist patients in the self-administration of medications and treatments as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Organize and maintain the medication supply room to ensure proper inventory and accessibility.
- Conduct regular audits of medication carts to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Coordinate the timely delivery of medications from pharmacies to support patient care.
Qualifications
- Candidates must hold a Kansas Certified Medication Aide certification.
- Availability to work every other weekend is required for this role.
