Job Summary
The Medication Technician plays a crucial role in overseeing the secure administration, documentation, and management of client medications, working under the guidance of nursing professionals. This position involves health monitoring, the collection of specimens, and maintaining an accurate medication inventory while adhering to facility protocols and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications safely and document actions accurately.
- Monitor the health of clients and collect necessary specimens.
- Maintain medication inventory, ensuring adequate supplies.
- Ensure compliance with facility standards and regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications
- Completion of a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) program or current EMT/Paramedic certification.
- Minimum of two years’ experience as a medication aide is preferred.
- Experience in behavioral health or substance use treatment is advantageous.
