Job Summary
The Microbiology Lab Technician plays a critical role in conducting laboratory analyses primarily focused on microorganisms. This position is essential for ensuring that the lab operates smoothly and that accurate results are produced for various studies or tests.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of microbiological tests and analyses on samples.
- Maintain and manage laboratory equipment and supplies to ensure quality standards are met.
- Record and analyze data, compiling results for reporting and further investigation.
- Adhere to safety procedures and regulations throughout all laboratory activities.
- Collaborate with other laboratory personnel to improve testing processes and efficiency.
Qualifications
- A degree in Microbiology, Biology, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in a laboratory setting, particularly in microbiology, is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and proficiency in laboratory techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and good laboratory practices.
