Job description
**Job Title: Monitor Technician**
The Monitor Technician is tasked with the observation of cardiac rhythms, accurate data interpretation, and relaying any significant changes to the nursing team in a hospital environment. This role also includes the upkeep of cardiac monitoring devices and conducting 12-lead ECGs as necessary. To qualify for this position, candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, along with completion of a formal EKG or arrhythmia training program comprising a minimum of 20 hours of instruction. Additionally, a Basic Life Support certification is required, along with the ability to successfully pass a basic arrhythmia assessment examination.
